Position DescriptionAccurum is seeking someone who helps to administer a heterogeneous network, and maintain existing software applications. The scope of responsibilities includes day-to-day operations, as well as project-based and programming-oriented work. Responsibilities:
• Administers a small, uniform site alone or assists in the administration of a larger system.
• Works under the general supervision of a system engineer or systems manager.
• Performs additional IT related tasks, as assigned by management.
• Performs weekend on-call functions.
Educational Requirements
• 1-3+ years working as a Linux Systems Administrator
• Ability to write scripts in some administrative language
• Knowledge of NFS, TCP-IP, DNS, RAID, authentication (NIS, LDAP, AD)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; capable of training users in applications and operating system fundamentals and writing basic documentation.
